ANGLE GRINDER MIMIC
As an introduction to alcohol markers and deconstructing sketches from other designers, we were tasked with recreating printouts, trying to mimic the sketching techniques as closely as possible.
I started with a light C1 Copic Sketch marker to map out the general shape, ensuring that my perspective was correct. Then with a straight edge and a Papermate InkJoy, I mapped out the strong lines and the basic curves freehand, adding in detail as I went. Using an assortment of cool grey markers and a few shades of blue, I blocked in colour and layered up greys to build up reflections and shadows. Finally with a black Copic, black and white Prismacolor pencil and a white gel pen, I finalised my sketch with stronger contrasting shadows with bright reflections and highlights.
If I were to do this sketch again, I would use a ellipse template to have a stronger foundation for the spinning disk and the handle. I’d also pay more attention to the highlights as, although on whole, it feels accurate when comparing them to other areas of brightness they don’t seem to be justified, however this could be a stylistic approach in some cases.

Drill Mimic
If I were to do this sketch again I would spend more time filling in the body with a solid grey as it would allow me to add highlights or shadows, assisting in demonstrating the form of the handle.

105 USES FOR A BRICK
The origin of this sheet revolves around our first session of thumbnailing, to introduce us to thumbnails and in turn the rapid ideation process. As a cohort we were asked ‘What are some uses of the common house brick?’ and we all thought house, shed, a brick wall and over time the feasible ideas started to drain and consequently ideas such as ‘open a window’ and to ‘depose of a corps’ started to emerge. We were then tasked with rapidly sketching all 105 of these uses for a brick on to a single a3 sheet.

PERSPECTIVE EXPERIMENTS
This sketch was a adaptation a single form, where I produced a random crated cube, and demonstrate it in different perspectives using different perspectives.
If I were to do this again id spend more time adding analogy shading and consider positioning of the perspectives in such a way where I filled more of the work space.
