Interests.

The lockdowns provided the opportunity to restore a 1985 Mini Mayfair, which included a complete body shell rebuild. Front and rear suspension introduced adjustable geometry, and rebuilt the engine with various aftermarket upgrades. To bring this classic into the 21st century, a custom Bluetooth stereo design that fits into the 1980s aesthetic, with custom 3D printed speaker covers and integrating a modern electronic heater valve and three-speed heater, which used the original pull control.

With a passion for making, a home workshop facilitates the prototype and production of bespoke goods and is useful when developing and testing custom hardline water-cooled desktop computers.

Experience.

Product Designer at Ziggurat XYZ

June 2022 - Present

Content creators deserve better than low-resolution logos blown up over an overpriced tee. With Ziggurat XYZ, I provide insights into the design and manufacturing process, consulting and advising content creators to make informed decisions on their product development and running workshops with creators brainstorming, ideating and conceptualising potential products to doing due diligence on manufacturers, materials and fulfilment solutions. Many Shopify, Squarespace and e-commerce solutions are designed alongside the design process, commissioning illustrators and web designers where necessary.

Freelancing as a Multidisciplinary Designer

November 2018 - Present

Connections made before and during Coventry University allowed many opportunities to practice design professionally, from bringing physical products to market to graphic and publication design for physical and digital releases.

Design Assistant at YoungDouble

February 2015 - September 2017

Assisting a lifestyle brand allowed me insights into e-commerce and real-world product development outside the luxuries of pure concept design. Acting as a design assistant, the primary responsibilities were brainstorming and ideating concepts with the Young Double’s brand values and opportunity risks in mind, partially when considering and sourcing materials and manufacturing processes. The secondary responsivities included product presentation, photography, website management and fulfilment.
