About

A client project for Young Double a small batch brand in the midlands, shipping world wide. I was presented with a concept that needed refinement and finalising. Although not a graphic designer by education I relished at the opportunity to apply my skills into a external area. I worked previously for Young Double (then StudioNL) as a in house design assistant but unfortunately left when I went to university. It was a pleasure to return and work in a familiar setting, this time as a designer its self.

PROCESS

From the initial sketches, I iterated further and quickly moved to illustrator, where conversation with the client we narrowed down to two final concepts. to which I iterated further, focusing on smaller details until the client signed off the final outcome.

Outcome

The final product can be found on jumpers, tops, baby grows, hoodies and individual patches from Young Double’s online store. Overall I am ecstatic to see the my first outcome brought to market as a freelance designer. This project taught me about client communication means and formality as well as techniques for manufacturing textile goods.
